Release Athens Festival 2026 - SABATON / SAVATAGE & EPICA

Release Athens 2026 is one of Athens’ biggest and most beloved music festivals. Now celebrating its 10th anniversary, the festival is returning with its biggest line-up yet, featuring internationally renowned bands and artists.

On Saturday July 25th, Release Athens 2026 welcomes Sabaton at Plateia Nerou. They will be joined by Savatage, who are returning to Athens after many years and will be the ideal co-headliners in a line-up rounded out by Epica, who are so beloved in our country for their symphonic metal.

Since their formation over 25 years ago, Sabaton have headlined major festivals, filled stadiums and won over a legion of loyal fans around the world. From their debut album in 2005 to the present day, they have released a series of chart-topping albums that have sold millions of copies and proven that power metal can be both educational and exciting. They have turned historical battles and heroic moments into metal anthems.
