Hatzidakis at the Megaron: The Great Lover & Fifteen Vespers

Two iconic works by Manos Hatzidakis, “O Megalos Erotikos” and “Dekapente Esperinoi”, will be presented at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall, just a few months after their sold-out performances at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus.

Manos Hatzidakis on these two works:
"The Great Lover is a folk God who lives in our imagination from the moment we are born until we die—beautiful, adolescent, and continuously alive."
"Vespers means reverence for the Sun, as it turns sensitively through the city, full of the memories of the years, which finally leans to the side to fall asleep, leaving around it an echo of light, revealing moods, and a very delicate fragrance of love."
Alkinoos Ioannidis and Maria Kostraki perform as soloists. Conducted by Loukas Karytinos. The Mixed Choir of Thessaloniki participates as well.
